INFRARED ABSORPTION IN CdSb, ALLOYED WITH INDIUM,

Abstract

The optical properties, infrared absorption, and reflection of CdSb monocrystals alloyed with various amounts of In were studied in an investigation extending an earlier work of one of the present authors on the semiconductor properties of CdSb crystals alloyed with various elements. The form of the absorption and reflection spectra depended on the initial composition of the specimen and on the temperature. It is believed that the observed infrared spectral dependence of CdSb(In) crystals is due to the formation of a donor level at a depth of 0.09 eV below the conduction band. (Author)
