RADAR CHARACTERISTICS OF PRECIPITATION OF DIFFERENT NATURE, SPECTRA, INTENSITY AND TEMPERATURES IN THE CENTIMETER AND MILLIMETER RANGES OF RADIO WAVES,

Abstract

The specific effective area of retrograde scattering and attenuation factors of radio waves in the centimeter and millimeter range, by rainfall at various temperatures and intensities were calculated. This quantitative data on the attenuating and reflecting effect of rain is needed to estimate the effect of rain on the operation of electronic equipment in the centimeter and millimeter range.
