COMPLEX COMPUTER MODELLING SYSTEM,

Abstract

The paper describes a system combining analog and digital computers, which is designed to use the best features of each type of computer for the modeling of complex design and control problems. Generally, high-speed calculations which require only limited accuracy are assigned to the analog machines, and the precise but slower-speed operations are done by the digital machines. The main elements are: two digital computers, a matching unit, a digital timing unit, a central dispatcher-converter, the user dispatcher-converters, and analog computers with their converters.
