EFFECT OF THE REYNOLDS NUMBER ON TIP LOSSES,

Abstract

An examination is made of the effect on the Reynolds number on tip losses in foil lattices and under conditions of a rotating turbine stage. The foil lattices were tested on a static stand, while the stages were tested on an experimental turbine. Careful finishing of the blade surfaces excluded the influence of roughness. (Author)
