CALCULATING THE PLIABILITY OF ELASTIC BEARINGS FOR TURBOMACHINES,

Abstract

The calculation of the flexibility of elastic supports of turbomachines is discussed. It is shown that the flexibility of these supports, which consist of an assembly of elastic rings with attachments welded to them, significantly affects the spectrum of the resonance frequencies of the coupled vibrations. Therefore, to calculate the vibrations of the rotor-support-housing system, the flexibility of the supports must be determined. Formulas were derived for determining the proper members of the support structure with a desired flexibility. (Author)
