LIGHT ALLOYS AND METHODS OF TREATING THEM (SELECTED ARTICLES),
Abstract
The collection contains articles devoted to results of the latest investigations in the field of metal science and treatment of aluminum, magnesium, and titanium alloys (regarding the character of interaction of elements in systems based on magnesium; regarding modern opinions on processes of recrystallization of light alloys). Much attention is devoted to foundation, from the position of metal science, of new technological processes ensuring an increase in the quality of semifinished products and reliability of articles and providing great economic effect. New processes of refining of aluminum alloys, high-speed pressing and other promising technological processes are elucidated. In certain articles, surveys are made of the basic trends in the development of research in the field of light alloys. (Author)
