SEMI-CONDUCTION AND ELECTRON HOPPING IN VITREOUS SYSTEMS: MICRO-STRUCTURE AND MAGNETIC PROPERTIES.

Abstract

The experimental techniques used in this program are given and some problems discussed. The dependence of magnetization on microstructure has been investigated in a B2O3 -BaO - Fe2O3 glass, and the results correlated with small angle X-ray scattering data. In addition, the microstructure has been found to depend strongly on Fe2O3 concentration. Based on these results, specific key research areas have been identified. (Author)
