INVESTIGATION OF ELECTRICAL STRUCTURE IN THE NEAR EARTH REGION AS MEASURED BY ORBITING SPHERICAL ELECTROSTATIC ANALYZERS, OR PLASMA PROBES.

Abstract

The report contains a study and analysis of several scientific experiments for the study of the distribution of charged particles in the near Earth regions. The experiments under study consist of Spherical Electrostatic Analyzers or Probes, flown on OGO satellites. Scientific and numerical techniques for the study and analysis of the data produced by these experiments and a system of computer programs for converting the recorded raw data into the desired physical results are given.
