Abstract

The paper considers the problem of allowing for the effect of the central zone on the value of Molodenskiy's correction G sub 1 to the gravity anomaly delta g. The value of the correction may be unstable when the radius L of that zone is varied. In the general case, the elevation of the integration surface should be represented in its separate parts as a function of the plane coordinates, permitting the calculation of second derivatives.
