DEVELOPMENT AND TEST OF VARIABLE-APERTURE WAVEGUIDE ANTENNA ARRAY FOR GLIDE-SLOPE SYSTEM.

Abstract

The report describes the development and flight-test program of a directional variable-aperture waveguide glide-slope system that is fully compatible with ICAO ILS standards and conventional airborne receivers, but that does not rely upon the ground-reflected signals required by conventional glide-slope systems. The operation of an aperture-field monitor for the waveguide array is also described. (Author)
