A WIND-WEIGHTING TECHNIQUE TO PREDICT VELOCITY VECTOR AZIMUTH ANGLES FOR UNGUIDED ROCKETS,

Abstract

A method is presented for the prediction of velocity vector azimuth angles of unguided rockets versus altitude or time using the wind-weighting technique. The method was evaluated using a trajectory simulation program in a high-speed computer, and the evaluation showed that useful predictions could be made. Moreover, the technique can be applied rapidly and, therefore, is well suited for operational use. (Author)
