ON THE DIFFUSION OF INNOVATIONS RESEARCH TRADITION.

Abstract

The report analyzes the decision-making process of the diffusion of technological innovations and attempts to make the analysis more meaningful for the Air Force by emphasizing the role of authoritarian, contingent, and collective type of decisions. The author describes the characteristics of innovations, different types of adopter categories (while emphasizing the role of the earlier adopters), and the diffusion process and adoption stages.
