TEST REPORT: AN/GMD-2A RAWIN SET-AN/FPS-16 RADAR COMPARISON.

Abstract

The report presents an operational evaluation of the accuracies of the Rawin Set AN/GMD-2A. The analysis presented is based on data generated by 24 radiosonde flights conducted at both low and high elevation angle conditions. Two radar sets (AN/FPS-16) tracking a corner reflector attached to the radiosonde train were used as the standard for comparison. (Author)
