PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING LITHIUM-CALCIUM PLASTIC LUBRICANT,

Abstract

A method is given for preparing a Li-Ca lubricant by mixing mineral oil with carboxylic acids of high and low molecular weight and subsequently saponifying the mixture with lime and LiOH. An antioxidant is also added to the mixture. To increase the efficiency of the lubricant, hard resin, detarred montan wax, and NaOH are added in the following concentration: resin (0.5-3%), detarred montan wax (1-4%), NaOH (0.1-0.3%), and diphenylamine antioxidant (0.3-0.5%).
