METHOD FOR STUDY OF THERMAL FATIGUE OF MECHANICALLY LOADED ROTOR BLADES,

Abstract

A method is described for analyzing the thermal fatigue of the nozzle and working blades of gas turbine engines under conditions most nearly approximating the actual operating conditions of the blade in the turbine. The method also makes it possible to run comparative tests of blades manufactured of different materials under varying thermomechanical loading conditions and to select the optimum set if loading conditions based on an investigation of the crack-forming process and configuration change and an analysis of the temperature and stress fields of different design and materials subject to nonstationary thermal and mechanical effects.
