CHARACTERISTICS OF RECRYSTALLIZATION OF NICKEL-BASE ALLOYS,

Abstract

The paper presents data obtained during the study of the effect of excess phases in the EI435 and EI4375 alloys on the process of recrystallization. A relationship was established of the recrystallization kinetics with the presence of particles of excess phases. It was found that the separation of the intermetallic phase and carbides before deformation increases the rate of formation of recrystallization centers. The decrease of the difference in the grain size after recrystallization annealing may be achieved by the preliminary heat treatment with retarded cooling. (Author)
