A MULTIPLICITY-INDEPENDENT, GLOBAL ITERATION FOR MEROMORPHIC FUNCTIONS.

Abstract

A result of E. Schroder for the numerical solution of polynomial equations is generalized to the class of equations meromorphic within a simple closed contour C in the complex plane. The method uses numerical contour integration to compute roots and/or poles of an equation. It supplies error bounds and root multiplicities by products of the iteration. (Author)
