A PRELIMINARY STUDY OF VARIABLES AFFECTING CALL PROCESSING EFFICIENCY IN A TACTICAL ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
An initial survey was conducted to identify variables affecting call- processing efficiency in a tactical communications environment from tape recordings of live switchboard traffic obtained at operational sites in South Vietnam. The collected data were analyzed to furnish specific information regarding traffic composition, average call-processing times, and operator efficiency.
