STIMULATED RAMAN EMISSION AND ABSORPTION SPECTROSCOPY.

Abstract

Eight reports (some published) on raman spectroscopy are included. The titles of the reports are as follows: Frequency broadening in liquids by a short light pulse; Angular distribution of surface radiation in stimulated raman scattering; Raman linewidths for stimulated threshold and gain calculations; Intensity and gain measurements on the stimulated raman emission in liquid O2 and N2; A study of the duration and birefringence of self-trapped filaments in CS2; High-resolution raman spectroscopy of gases with laser excitation; Stimulated raman emission in diamond: spectrum, gain and angular distribution of intensity; and High-speed spectroscopy using the inverse raman effect.
