APPLICATION AND DEMONSTRATION OF NAS SAUFLEY MANPOWER ALLOCATION AND PRODUCTIVITY MEASUREMENT MODEL.

Abstract

The study involves the application of the manpower allocation model (MAM) and the productivity measurement model (PMM) for Naval Air Station Saufley in addressing six typical Navy management questions. It was the first opportunity to demonstrate some of the model capabilities in addressing manpower management questions which may typically develop in the Department of Defense planning programming and budgeting system (PPBS) dialogue. The demonstration indicated that the models are capable of being used in responding to each of the six proposed management questions. Recommendations were formulated concerning input data requirements; model output, structure and validity analysis which would improve the usefulness of the models. (Author)
