LEVELS OF REPAIR-END OR MEANS,

Abstract

The Air Force issued a manual requiring explicit consideration and optimization of the level of repair of system components during the design process. There now exist a number of techniques for analyzing and establishing the appropriate level of repair for the various parts of a weapon system. The paper explores the context and meaning of level of repair (LOR) analysis, and considers some of the techniques now available.
