Abstract
The report gives a brief review of research under the headings: Silver halide studies (polarization; optical absorption); NH4Cl (mixed ion-proton-electron conductivity); Electrochemistry of stabilized zirconia (use as oxygen pump, electrode behavior); Pyrex as solid electrolyte (used to measure activities in Na-Sn alloys and as oxygen or sulfur pressure gauge; Al2O3 Studies; the system Al-O; transference studies; and Defect Chemistry (role in characterization of materials, stability of transition metal compounds, defect model for UO2).
