DETERMINATION OF THE ATTITUDE OF THE SKYLARK ROCKET FROM A CONICAL SCANNING SUN-SLIT AND MAGNETOMETERS.

Abstract

The Memorandum describes the determination of the attitude of the Skylark rocket, using a conical scanning sun-slit and an orthogonal array of magnetometers, at the time of a pulse from the sun-slit. There are two attitudes which satisfy the data. The correct solution must be chosen by appealing to other information e.g. continuity of the attitude motion. (Author)
