INTERMITTENT POWER SOURCE FOR BEACONS.

Abstract

A circuit is proposed for operation of various types of beacons (audio, sonar, visual or radio) which is relatively simple, versatile and capable of suppling large powers. It is basically a static inverter with the added feature of intermittently stopping and starting the oscillation. The inverter is designed for direct operation of an audio output. It is highly versatile since it can be designed for a wide range of input and output voltages, audio frequencies and 'on' to 'off' time ratios. (Author)
