INTERACTION OF BORON TRIHALIDES WITH HEXAFLUOROACETONE IMINE,
Abstract
Boron trifuluoride forms a 1:1 addition compound with (CF3)2CNH. In contrast, BCl3 and BBr3 add across the CN double bond of the imine to yield (CF3)2CX-NH-BX2 derivatives. The structure of these aminoboranes was verified by vibrational spectroscopy. (Author)
