ADVANCED OXIDIZER CHEMISTRY.

Abstract

The reaction of O2F2 with perfluoropropene has been shown to yield two new OOF compounds, CF3CF2CF2OOF and (CF3)2CFOOF. Attempts were made to further characterize O2ClF3. The mechanism of the reaction of COF2 and OF2 in the presence of CsF was studied using O17 tracer techniques. A new method of perparation of CF3OOF is discussed. The reaction of CF3COF and OF2 is also discussed. A study of the reaction of O4F2 has shown it to be a better source of the OOF radical than O2F2. Papers are included on the following subjects: 'Additional studies concerning the existence of 'O3F2',' 'The reaction of dioxygen difluoride and perfluoropropene.
