DEVELOPMENT OF LOW TEMPERATURE CURE COATING FOR EXTERNAL SURFACES OF NAVAL AIRCRAFT.

Abstract

An improved ester-modified polyamide-imide resin system having low-temperature (50-80C) curing characteristics for use as coating for external metal surfaces of naval aircraft was developed. Evaluation tests were conducted using a wide variety of curing agents. Processing parameters were established. An effective stripper was selected for removal of cured coatings. (Author)
