AIR FORCE OFFICER MANPOWER POOL - PROFESSIONAL MOTIVATION.

Abstract

The concern of the study was a select group of college students generally singled out by industry and government as the prototype of campus leaders they seek to hire for executive positions. These are the collegiate scholars, who are able to combine a successful academic career with an active social-extracurricular life. The research sought to ascertain: Whether collegiate scholars represent a discernible subgroup at public universities; Whether in this context, this subgroup continues to epitomize the successful undergraduate; and The role strains that are encountered.
