INFORMATION PRESERVING PROCESSES IN THE FORECASTING OF DISTRIBUTION MATRICES,

Abstract

Demands for forecasting distributions of a variety of entities in many areas of regional planning could be met by a single generally applicable model. After discussing the need for such a model, the paper develops the properties that such a model should possess, placing the major emphasis on the concept of preservation of information. A simple model, which meets the major requirements, is briefly described, and a number of applications are shown. (Author)
