COMPUTER-PRODUCED DISTRIBUTION MAPS OF DISEASE

Abstract

The MOD (Mapping of Disease) Project is an effort to: (1) characterize input data (relating to disease/environment) in such a way that they can be stored and readily retrieved in context by a computerized system which, (2) using these data can meaningfully relate the prevalence, incidence, and character of a disease to a variety of direct and indirect causal factors, always with a time and location characteristic, and (3) output the information directly in map form.
