THIRD PARTIAL REPORT ON RESEARCH ON PROPULSION OF ROCKET PROJECTILES

Abstract

The purpose of this investigation was to determine if it is practicable to add a force produced by a rocket charge to a projectile in flight which will permit a reduction in weight and complication of the gun firing it and still give a range and effectiveness which compare with similar weight conventional shells, or an increased range without seriously decreasing the effectiveness or increasing the weight of the projectile.
