PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF CYANOETHYL PHASES FOR USE IN GAS-LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY.

Abstract

Commercially available cyanoethyl type liquid phases have been compared for their aromatic-aliphatic selectivity. In addition, column efficiency and ethyl benzene-xylene resolution were determined and tabulated. It was found that cyanoethyl liquid phases have widely divergent performance characteristics and for certain problems, specific phases are preferred. (Author)
