COMPUTERIZED ALPHABETIZATION OF THAI.

Abstract

The paper presents the rules for alphabetizing Thai words in a manner consistent with the standards of the Royal Institute, as exemplified by the 'Dictionary of the Royal Institute' (1950), together with a description of the general characteristics of Thai orthography necessary for an understanding of alphabetization. Also presented is a description of a computer algorithm to perform alphabetization of Thai words. (Author)
