NOVEL CHELATED BISCARBORANE TRANSITION METAL COMPLEXES FORMED THROUGH CARBON-METAL SIGMA BONDS.

Abstract

A series of square planar and tetrahedral complexes have been prepared which contain the bidentate bis-carborane ligand sigma-bonded through carbon to a transition metal. These complexes of B1OC2H1O(-), dodecahydrodicarba-closo-borate (-1), exhibit unusual thermal and chemical stabilities. (Author)
