MILLIMETER/MICROWAVE RADOME BUILDING BLOCK - A DIELECTRIC SANDWICHED METALLIC CIRCULAR HOLE LATTICE.

Abstract

Research demonstrated that the building block for an improved millimeter/microwave region radome could be the combination of a strong metal plate perforated with a lattice of circular holes and sandwiched between dielectric layers. Its electrical parameters are those of two sets of shunt inductance and capacitance in parallel connected by series inductance and adjusted to the required shunt impedance and bandwidth. The holes studied were below cut-off. (Author)
