A SIMPLE METHOD OF CALCULATING A LAVAL NOZZLE,

Abstract

The paper presents a simple method of constructing a Laval nozzle to assure a plane-parallel supersonic flow. A simplified method is given for calculating the initial velocity distribution of the sonic and supersonic portions of the nozzle and formulas are introduced together with curve equations for calculating the compensating section of the nozzle wall. An example of the nozzle construction formulas is given in order of their calculation. (Author)
