THEORY AND DESIGN OF TURBOCOMPRESSORS,

Abstract

Problems dealing with the theory and design of turbocompressors based on the gas-dynamic theory of cascades are examined. The thermodynamic bases of the theory of turbomachines, the basic problems of the aerodynamics of compressible gas and elements of theory of the wing are included. Problems of the flow of gas around flat, annular, circular and three-dimensional cascade designs are expounded in sufficient detail. The theory and design of a stage of a turbocompressor are examined. (Author)
