TRUNNION REACTIONS OF THE 37MM AUTOMATIC GUN M4 (T9),

Abstract

The trunnion reactions occurring during the firing cycle of the 37 mm. Automatic Gun M4 (T9), were determined by means of piezo-electric gages and the cathode ray oscillograph. The reactions were investigated under two conditions: firing single shots, and firing bursts. The magnitude and duration of the forces appeared to be substantially the same for both firing conditions. (Author)
