Abstract
Displacement - time records of the mechanisms in the 40 mm. A.A. Gun T1, were obtained when the gun was fired at 0 deg. elevation. Records were obtained at plus 76 deg. F, minus 20 deg. F, and minus 38 deg. F when a mixture of 60% glycerine - 40% water was used in the buffer. Records were also taken at minus 38 deg. F when special light oil (RIXS - 189) was used in the buffer.
