LUBRICANT FOR OPTICAL-MECHANICAL INSTRUMENTS,

Abstract

The invention involves a dispersion-base ceresin lubricant for optical instruments. For greater effectiveness, the lubricant is supplemented with silica gel and polyisobutylene. A modification of this lubricant calls for 7 percent ceresin, 10 percent silical gel, 1 percent polyisobutylene and 82 percent dispersion medium. Either mineral or synthetic oil may be used as the dispersion medium. (Author)
