EFFECT OF GEOMETRIC PARAMETERS ON PERFORMANCE OF BEARING WITH A FLOATING BUSHING,

Abstract

This paper establishes mutual relation between the pin and floating bushing, determined from the equilibrium conditions of the bushing under established (stabilized) working conditions. Formulas for determining the angle velocity of floating bushing, loading coefficient and coefficient for resistance to rotation have been developed. It was shown that the radial clearances in the bearing and thickness of the bushing significantly affect the performance and efficiency of the bearing. Conclusions were reached regarding the optimum magnitudes of the clearances and bushing thickness. (Author)
