QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF MIL-H-27601 FLUID FOR TRICRESYL PHOSPHATE AND 4,4'-METHYLENE BIS (2,6-di-TERTBUTYL PHENOL) BY INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY.

Abstract

An infrared method for the quantitative analysis of 4,4'-methylene-bis (2,6-di-tertbutyl phenol) and tricresyl phosphate in hydraulic fluid MIL-H-27601 is reported. The method is quick and easily performed using a low-cost infrared spectrophotometer. With this method the change in additive content when the MIL-H-27601 is exposed to stress fluid tests can be determined. (Author)
