A NOTE ON THE RELAXATION ALGORITHM FOR SOLVING MATRIX EQUATIONS,

Abstract

The relaxation method for the solution of matrix equations is shown to be convergent when the coefficient matrix is not necessarily positive definite. The relaxation method appears to be a special case of the sequential projection method of Householder. (Author)
