ALGORITHMIC LANGUAGES.

Abstract

The overall goal of the study was the development of an adequate theory for programming (algorithmic) languages. In order to achieve this goal there were two specific objectives: (1) The development of suitable mathematical models of currently used programming languages such as ALGOL, COBOL, and JOVIAL. (2) The use of mathematical models to answer questions of interest about these languages. The document is a final report of the study and contains a listing of technical papers written.
