MANUFACTURE AND APPLICATION OF LITHIUM-CALCIUM SOAP BASE LUBRICATING GREASE FOR BALL BEARINGS,

Abstract

A lithium-calcium soap grease is compounded from the following constituents: 13.5% of pure suet with a 200 saponification value; 68% medium lubricating oil with viscosity of 8.0 at E 50 degrees C and flash point at 210 degrees C; 23% turbine oil UT with viscosity of 4.2 at E 50 degrees C and flash point at 180 degrees C; 1.971% of lithium hydroxide containing 1% LiOH.H2O; 0.284% clean lime (65% purity). The lithium-calcium soap grease is adaptable to high-loading, high-voltage, medium-speed, and high-temperature motor bearing. The grease is also adaptable to low-loading, low voltage, high speed, and low-temperature magnet exciter motor bearing; or medium loading, low voltage, high speed, and high temperature fuel pump motor bearing.
