EFFECT OF WATER VAPOR ON THE VOLATILITY OF FISSION PRODUCT OXIDES.

Abstract

Volatilities of the oxides of antimony, tin, and ruthenium in the presence of water vapor were studied by the transpiration method. The volatility of Sb2O3 was determined at 600C, but no volatile hydroxide species was detected at this temperature. No volatile hydroxide species were detected for Sb2O4, RuO2, or SnO2 at temperatures up to 930C. (Author)
