Ge(Li) DETECTOR STUDY OF GAMMA RAYS FROM GROUND-STATE DECAY OF IRIDIUM-190,

Abstract

The gamma-ray spectrum following the decay of 190gIr to 190Os was investigated with a Ge(Li) detector. The energies and relative intensities of 42 gamma rays, including ten transitions previously unreported, were determined. Using the conversion electron intensities measured by previous investigators, the K-conversion coefficients of the transitions were calculated and used to assign spins and parities to the levels of 190Os.
