CONCERNING AN ALGORITHM FOR CLASSIFYING ABSTRACT IMAGES,

Abstract

A solution of the recognition problem by means of mathematical logic is presented, which ensures the same approach in all particular recognition problems, and a sufficient functional flexibility of a computer during the learning and decision steps. After explaining the symbols and concepts of mathematical logic used in the article, it is proven that a set of certain weighting logical words represents a metric space. It is shown how to use this metric space for recognition of abstract patterns by forming standard classes and determining the weight characteristics for their indication. An expression is given for calculating distances, from which the degree of similarity between a logical word and a standard weighting logical word can be determined. From the minimum of this expression can be determined whether a given word belongs to a certain class.
