RESOLUTION OF NARROW-BAND SMALL-FRAME TELEVISION SYSTEMS,

Abstract

The small frame method of transmitting television images offers new prospects not only in solving the problem of increasing the distance of television transmissions, but also in solving the problem of increasing the resolution of television photographs up to the limit of Rayleigh. It was experimentally confirmed that an increase in the signal to noise ratio in a big component on output of a television camera substantially higher than 10, ensures an increase in the resolution of the television systems having practical significance. It was experimentally proven that there is the possibility of obtaining resolutions up to 2000 elements per line (width of the resolved strokes is equal to 5 Mu m) in a narrow band vidicon of small frame systems. The creation of small frame vidicons with a current of the video signal in the unit frequency band higher than 1/3.10 minus super 12 A/Hz is one of the important directions in the development of systems of small frame television.
