STUDIES ON COLOR CENTERS.
Abstract
Results obtained in the study of spins trapped at various defects in crystalline quartz after irradiation of the crystal with x-rays are summarized. Studies were also carried out on trapped spins in potassium azide formed when it is irradiated with ultraviolet light. A brief account of some work done on the V sub F center in lithium fluoride is also given. (Author)
